The hotel was clean and the decor although in places a little scruffy was modern. The staff where friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice.

The Grand Ash was reasonably clean, a central location but not busy and the breakfast was fairly good.
There was not a great range of breakfast meals.

Comfortable room, great service, staff were friendly, good value for money. Great location and didn't have a problem with parking at all.
Its a fairly old hotel and so you can hear people moving about

very little
this hotel is run down and in need of a major overhaul. the rooms are extremely basic with old style wallpaper peeling away at every joint. The bathroom painted walls were blown in places and the shower was of poor quality. the breakfast was average.

On arrival at the hotel we were told that our long weekend which had been booked a month before was to be cut short because head office had a coach cancel. After arriving home a day early and the loss of a days hols I contacted head office who could not care less about its customers.I spoke to an arrogant self centred man who couldnt care less and his approach to customers is disgusting.

The location of the hotel was good - very near the shops and the beach.
The hotel was very dated and the room was very basic and dated. It needs a major re-furbish. The price was quite a lot for what we received compared to the value of the other hotels we stayed in.

Very good value for money with excellent service from friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast as well! Have booked to stay again!
Could do with a little decorating (just an observation, not really a criticism).

We booked for B&B for two nights. We arrived at 6pm ish and we were happy with the room that we were given it was clean and tidy. The only thing, that was a problem was the position of the loo, it is right up against the bath and practically impossible to use if you are over 5ft and 6 stone,The beds were hard but usable . The breakfast was well worth having ,cooked well and tasty,We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again but in another room with a more spacious loo
